What's Wrong With People?

What is there about religion that drives some people to go into churches of all kinds, and kill people while they’re praying to their God? Religion is supposed to be about love, and life, and finding your way into Heaven. We should not have to have armed guards on duty while parishioners pray, but that’s what we are facing, today. In Poway, California, in San Diego County, California, a gunman entered a synagogue and started shooting, killing one (so far) and wounding three others—for what? Because he hated Jews? What is there to hate about Jews, anyway? Others hate Muslims, and still more hate Christians, of all stripes. Why? Why does one person hate another because of his religious beliefs? It's stupid!

WELL, IT HAPPENED AGAIN: Two things. One, a gunman walked into a synagogue and opened fire, killing one, and wounding two others, including the Rabbi, who was hit in the hand. Then he encountered an off-duty border control officer, why threw a few shots at him, scaring the bejeezuz out of him. When a cop stopped him a few minutes later, this coward quickly pulled over, jumping out of his car, saying, “Don’t shoot, I’m surrendering!” This probably contributed to the fact that only four people were hit, but in any case, it would certainly lead to his capture, since that trained officer could identify him.

OLIVER NORTH IS OUT: He’s not going to be the NRA president, any more. He must have realized that he is just a figurehead. The real power in the NRA is Wayne LaPierre, the “executive vice president.” LaPierre has “held that post” for many years, through many “presidents.” He took on a little more than he planned, when North was elected president, and North acted like a real president, opposing many of LaPierre’s policies. It came to a head recently, and North was “forced out” by the Board, led by LaPierre. I have long been suspicious about LaPierre’s long holding of this supposedly lower position that lasted so long.

THE NEXT STEP: They’ve taken the next step toward a “national ID card” with the requirement that all users of commercial air transport get a “Real ID” driver’s license or be turned away from flying at all. Most states have quietly “complied” and issue their driver’s licenses including the “Real ID.” The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will fully implement “Real ID” in October 2020, or so it says. It has been threatening to implement it for years, but so far, it has always been postponed. We’ll see what happens this time. Frankly, I don’t know of ANYBODY who hasn’t had occasion to fly somewhere in his/her lifetime, and that includes me, though for me, it's infrequent.

LIBS MISS THE POINT: As usual, in their efforts to disarm the American populace in advance of, I’m sure, their long range plans to move in and take as much from us as they can. And, of course, they are mischaracterizing the San Diego County synagogue killings to advance their anti-gun fool efforts. And they’re absolutely missing the point, on purpose. They have to know that not one of their laws and regulations have ever prevented a single such shootings. The people who wish to do such things, if they can’t get their guns legally, just get them ILLEGALLY, and ignore their silly little laws. Their laws, in addition to doing nothing to prevent such shootings, make the rest of us easy targets” for such shooters by disarming the law-abiding.

ONE MAN’S OPINION: I see it coming. Dumocrats want to shut conservatives up, by law. So they’re pushing legislation to criminalize what they call “hate speech,” with laws so loose they can define what they want as “hate speech” and punish their opposition. Their two Muslim congressional reps are working hard toward that end… Cartoonist A. F. Branco says socialism/communism is “killing the Democrat Party.” I sure hope he’s right. It needs to be killed… “Just call them names!” That’s the mantra of liberals. At one university, a student called for “diversity of thought,” and was immediately called a “Neo-Nazi.” Those so labeling that student have no arguments in support of their position, so they just call him/her names… The president of Liberty University has a granddaughter. He recently announced he was “rising her as a girl,” which should go without saying. But now students (who know everything, you know) are demonstrating against him for facetiously announcing reality…
